Moore Bass Announces New CEO of Florida Operations

Moore Bass Consulting (“Moore Bass”) today announced that Richard Darabi, P.E., has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Moore Bass Florida, effective immediately. Company co-founder Rick Moore will also be transitioning to an advisory role for Florida operations until his retirement on December 31, 2026.

“I am enthusiastic about the future,” said Richard Darabi. “For nearly four decades, Moore Bass has played a meaningful role in shaping communities across Florida and the Southeast. I look forward to building on that legacy and exploring new opportunities for innovation in the years ahead. The foundation established by Rick Moore and Karen Bass reflects a clear commitment to forward-thinking growth, and I am honored to lead our team as we continue advancing that vision.”

Mr. Darabi brings more than 20 years’ experience as a civil engineer and project manager into his role, including over a decade with Moore Bass. Promoted to Shareholder in 2020, Mr. Darabi has been focused on expanding on Moore Bass’ position as an industry leader in engineering and land use planning.
