HISTORY AND EXPERIENCE
Founded in 1991 by Rick Moore, P.E. and Karen Bass, P.E.; Moore Bass Consulting has built a thriving firm of engineers, land planners, surveyors, landscape architects, biologists, transportation planners and development consultants.

Our clients include local, state and federal government agencies as well as military, institutional and industrial clients. Our design professionals are registered in Florida, Georgia and Alabama and work regularly with a range of design conditions and permitting agencies.

We are a Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise as well as FDOT Pre-Qualified.

Karen BassKaren K. Bass, P.E.
A registered professional engineer since 1982, Ms. Bass has served on the Citizens Advisory Committee for the Leon County Environmental Management Act, the Citizens Advisory Committee on Subdivision Regulations, is a former Board Member of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors for the Bank of Tallahassee as well as the Board of Directors for the Tallahassee Lenders Consortium.

Mr. Moore has served on the Leadership Tallahassee Board of Governors, where he was class chair for Leadership Tallahassee Class XVI. He has served on the Tallahassee/Leon County Economic Development Council board of Directors as well as the Tallahassee Community College Foundation Board of Directors. He is past chairman of the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce World Class Schools and Growth Management Committee and has served on the Citizens Advisory Committee for review of the Zoning and Site Plan Review Code, Site Specific Zoning Code and is past chairman of the Leon County Code Enforcement Board, the City’s Architectural Review Board, the County’s Contractor’s Licensing Board and Tallahassee’s Historic Preservation Board. He is currently a member of Leadership Florida Class XXII, serves on the Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center’s Board of Directors and is a member and former president of the Tallahassee Capital Rotary Club.
