Boundary
Surveys
Vital to
any construction project or land sale transaction is the accurate
location and documentation of property boundaries developed
by a professional surveyor. Boundary Surveys which locate and
establish lines between legal estates also reveal potential
problems including encroachments, right-of-way issues, and gaps
and gores between adjacent parcels. Boundary Survey Process:
- Research
- Field
Measurements
- Plat
Preparation and Certification
The research
process typically starts with the court clerk for the county.
Additional common research includes a site visit; right-of-way
department research; and contact with railroad companies, utility
companies, local surveyors, and adjoining property owners.
Field measurements
include the location of all above ground evidence of ownership,
along with location of improvements and property corner monumentation.
The latest in technology is employed when collecting these measurements.
We use robotics, GPS, and field computers to provide accurate
measurements.
Plat preparation
includes the office-based finished boundary survey drawing.
Our office technical staff (SAMSOG award winners) prepares survey
drawings to meet or exceed all the requirements of state and
local regulations, accurately depicting clients’ property.
Property
is valuable. Our experienced team prepares boundary surveys
on tracts of all sizes, in a timely manner, with quality results,
using precise, cost effective survey techniques.

Topographic
Surveys
The successful
planning and engineering of any land development relies on quality
topographic data. Civil Engineers and Landscape Architects use
survey data depicting land elevation to develop their design
solutions for the site. Accuracy of the topographic surveys
and base maps are essential for the development of designs that
respond to real site conditions.

ALTA
ACSM Land Title Surveys
Moore Bass
is qualified and equipped to meet all the specifications of
an ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey. The American Land Title Association,
the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, and the National
Society of Professional Surveyors joined to establish a set
of Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA surveys. The
ALTA/ACSM Surveys are held to a higher standard than a standard
boundary survey. The ALTA survey addresses additional issues
such as reviewing the title commitments, depicting current zoning
conditions, and providing redundant measurements between boundary
corners. Moore Bass has successfully completed ALTA/ACSM Land
Title Surveys for numerous apartment complexes, storage facilities,
and large-scale boundary surveys.

GIS
Services
Moore Bass
provides assistance to government agencies and utility companies
by providing Geographic Information System (GIS) support. In
2002, our surveyors assisted the Clayton County Water Authority

control was established using first order GPS survey techniques.
We are also experienced in GIS data collection for stormwater,
water distribution, utility distribution and sanitary sewer
inventory projects.
